Happy Sunday!!!

As my Dallas Cowboys game became a nail biter, I turn to what I do best…Blog out my thoughts! No I am not going to rant about football. I wanted to check in and see how my fellow blogger/reader friends are doing??

2018 is almost over and so much has happened this year. I continued to grow in the reading community. I am still a #1 fan for the Romance genre, but I got to dip into the “unknown” and started reading more thrillers and mystery books. I also expanded a little with the Audio Book world. I surpassed my 2 year Blogiversary in September. Yay!! I made it this far. I may not have a huge follower base, but my tight knit friends have opened my eyes. You all helped me see that no that no matter how big or small our blogs have become, our voices still count with our reviews. Thank you all for that!

I checked into my Goodreads challenge today and lo and behold, I completed it already. 319 books so far! I wanted to bring down my count from last year as it had been a bit overwhelming, and I did by 100 😃😃

I am excited for the holidays and cannot wait to see what new authors I will be introduced to next year! I also found out I may have an addiction to the Hallmark channel now with all the Christmas movies! What do you love to do during Holiday season??

Two best friends follow a dangerous and seductive path in the final standalone novel of the bestselling Whiskey and Lies series from NYT Bestselling Author Carrie Ann Ryan.

Ainsley Harris has always kept a secret from her best friend. She’s stood by his side, helped him raise his daughter, and tried to keep her distance even though she’s been in love with him for years. She knows he has secrets of his own and she’s not willing to chance what they have on a possibility.

Loch Collins has hidden himself and his past from the world for good reason. Darkness always comes back to haunt those who fight against it, and he knows better than most. One night of temper, however, forces him to realize his true feelings for Ainsley—for better or worse.

But Loch’s former allies aren’t on his side anymore, and now not only is his life and the life of his daughter on the line, but Ainsley is in the crosshairs, as well. Together, two best friends must fight for each other and their small town, because Whiskey has never burned brighter. And danger, it seems, is ever lurking.

2.  Only You by Marie Landry

Quote from my Blog Review: 41578092

“This was a cute and saucy read! Only You by Marie Landry is perfect for the upcoming holidays.”  4 Stars ✨✨✨✨

Blurb:

Ivy’s new boss is sexy, Scottish…and comes with an expiration date.

When Ivy reluctantly takes a new part-time job, it’s a means to an end. Doing this favor for her pain-in-the-neck roommate means Ivy can have her apartment to herself again much sooner. The last thing she expects is Hugh—the hot Scot who just happens to be her new boss—asking her out on a date. And then another. And another.

Something about Hugh makes Ivy want to let her guard down and open up, which would be perfect if he wasn’t possibly returning to Scotland in a matter of weeks. But maybe that doesn’t matter. Maybe Ivy can learn to live in the moment and have a little fun, even if it means setting herself up for heartache later.

ONLY YOU is a standalone contemporary romance about taking chances, unexpected friendships, and holding on to the things—and people—that matter most

Blurb:

ERIC MITCHELL’S STORY
I’m the bastard child, son to the mistress, my father’s backup heir to the Mitchell empire. He sent me to Harvard. I left and became a Navy SEAL, but I’m back now, and I finished school on my own dime. I’m now the right hand man to Grayson Bennett, the billionaire who runs the Bennett Empire. I’m now a few months from being a billionaire myself. I don’t need my father’s company or his love. My “brother” can have it. I will never go back there. I will never be the mistake my father made, the way he was the mistake my mother made.

And then she walks in the door, the princess I’d once wanted more than I’d wanted my father’s love. She wants me to come back. She says my father needs to be saved. I don’t want to save my father but I do want her. Deeply. Passionately. More than I want anything else.

But she’s The Princess and I’m The Bastard. We don’t fit. We don’t belong together and yet she says he needs me, that she needs me. We’re like sugar and spice, we don’t mix, but I really crave a taste. Just one. What harm can just one taste do?

Blurb:

She’s not the woman I thought … but dammit, she’s the woman I want.

Let’s get this out of the way, right off the bat: I love women.

I love the way they look. The way they smell. The way they feel. Especially the way they feel. And I’ve pretty much made it my mission to give each and every woman who shares my bed the ride of her life.

Then I met her. All business and completely uninterested in me. And damned if I didn’t want her. Crave her. I told myself I only wanted to tame her. That it was all about the challenge.

I never expected to break through her shell and find the softness underneath. Never expected how wild she’d be between the sheets or the way she’d cry my name with such sincere intensity when I totally rocked her world.
Most of all, I never expected to fall for her.

But I did.

And the question is, now that I know I want her, how the hell do I go about keeping her?

Lovely Little Liar was originally published as Bitch Slap. New content, such as expanded scenes, has been added to this book.

7. Bryce (Sexton Brothers #2) by Lauren Runow & Jeannine Colette

41742052Quote from my Blog Review:

“The book has the thrills and drama. You get the extra steamy scenes too. But underneath it all, you get heart” 4 Stars!! ✨✨✨✨

Blurb:

“Truth or dare?”
“I’ll take your dare.”
“Kiss me.”

I don’t believe in Prince Charming, but when I met a handsome stranger on a rooftop his words intrigued me and his dares left nothing but temptation.

Then I learned the truth.

His name is Bryce Sexton. Media mogul, workaholic and a heart of stone. He’s broody AF and yet every woman in San Francisco wants him.

So why won’t he leave me alone?

Wherever I go, he’s there, trying to force his way into my world. What he doesn’t know is I already have a man in my life. A tiny redhead who loves Legos and Superheroes.

With every push, Bryce pulls me in further. Our pasts are laced with betrayal. Our futures are unpredictable. Our chemistry is explosive.

With each dare I uncover a truth, but he’s exactly what I don’t need right now.

So why did I have to go and kiss him?

*The Sexton Brothers novels are stand-alone books that can be read in any order

8.  Secret Sins (Sins Duet #1) by C.D. Reiss

Quote from my Blog Review: 42077842.jpg

“So many secrets flood these pages. The angst and drama took me in for a helluva ride!” 5 Stars!! ✨✨✨✨✨

Blurb:

In the era of pay phones, groupies, and party pills, there were three of us.

Strat. A rock god who walked on air.
Indy. A handsome musician smart enough to live through stardom.
Me, a girl with everything to lose and nothing she wanted to keep.

I loved them both.
They say three’s a crowd, but maybe I liked crowds…until the one thing I wanted to keep was stolen out of my arms.

I left that world, straightened up, went to law school.
I was fine until Indy walked back into my life to remind me of what I’d lost.

They say there’s no time like the present, but when the past shows up with an invoice there’s gonna be hell to pay.

9. Sacred Sins (Sins Duet #2) by C.D. Reiss

41949996Quote from my Blog Review:

“Sacred Sins is a powerful and will emotionally have you tangled through the twists and new turns. You have to read Sacred Sins to close 2018 right.” 5 Stars!! ✨✨✨✨✨

Blurb:

You know what they say about family.
Blood is thicker than water.
The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.
A house divided cannot stand.

Margie is the keeper of her family’s secrets.
Six sisters and one brother.
Billions in assets.
Generations of malfeasance.
And one heartbreaking secret three people keep.

Margie.
Her father, Declan.
And Drew—the man she loves.

You know what they say about secrets.
Three can keep them if two are Drazens.

There’s never been a Drazen who went down without a fight.
And there’s never been one who didn’t fight for love.
